myspace updates
I had actually been wondering what is going on with Jason since I hadn't heard anything in a while. What he's up to, etc...there are a few bulletins up on myspace from him. Going to be singing at his church on Sun, going to be putting up more songs on his artist page, he wants to add more friends on his artist page as well...

So I replied to one of the postings, asked him how Sat was back in TX and he answered. He did happen to be online at the time, but still it was cool getting something back from him. Seems to be doing well.

fan club
Are any of you also on the fan club email list? I got an email this afternoon which said Jason is going back home to Texas, I didn't really look to see when, I'll have to check. But anyone that gets to go, that is so cool! Wish I were close by...

But it sounds fun, media is invited, there's food, etc...

Edit: It's this Sat, the 14th...I'm sure it's going to be a lot of fun. Hope he gets around to other states...

Idol forums
So now I read (and post) over on Idolforums, and in Jason's thread, he posted something. Thought I would let you guys know. Basically he let everyone know that his myspace and artist page are back up, and he would be happy to talk to anyone about his cd, etc, so maybe we should send him messages about that over there.

Any other Jason related news you guys know of??

music
So now that we saw Jason's music myspace...which song is your favorite? He seems to be more of a country singer than I thought and I'm not a big fan of much country music. But he's still good, although I think I liked his songs more on American Idol than these. He'd definitely do well in a country week on the show though!

I managed to rip the 3 songs from Jason's myspace so you can put them on your mp3 player and whatnot.

UGH I  hope it works now.

AI tonight
Just watched American Idol, Top 8 guys...

I really miss seeing Jason on this show! I wonder what song he would have chosen if he'd stayed, I do like David C but don't like anyone as much as I did Jason. Also, I've never had a favorite in the Top 24, maybe since I think this is the first season I've seen from the beginning. What did everyone else think about tonight? Who do you like now in the competition?

Hey guys, the mod here. Sorry I was absent the last week - had some computer issues.

It was sad to see Jason go last week :( America just didn't get the chance to see him as much as some of the others. It's just the beginning for him, though!

Anyway, he posted a nice blog on MySpace this evening that I thought I would copy here:

To all my fans!!!
Current mood: thankful

I'm writing all of you on this cold wintry day back in Branson, MO. Back to my quiet simple life in the hills and the hollers. lol : ) I wanted to take this time to personally tell all of you how incredibly thankful I am for all your support and prayers throughout this crazy journey. First of all, I have to thank God because there is no doubt that without Him, NONE of this would have happened. It was an absolute God thing that I even got as far as I did and it just testifies to me how real He can be in your life if you let Him. A special thanks to those who helped support me financially. You have no idea how much that meant to me. Thank you to my parents for supporting me emotionally and financially as well. A huge thanks to Joan for all your hard work and drive and being one of my biggest supporters. To Matthew for being such a great publicist!! LOL All my friends back home in GP I just want to give a big thank you for spreading the word and making t-shirts and just being the wonderful friends you've always been to me! To all the people I met at the Hard Luck Diner over the last 7 months, thanks for watching and voting! And to all my Hard Luck friends, I feel like you all were right there with me every step of the way! This whole experience was indescribable. Its been such a huge part of my life for so long, I almost can't imagine my life without it. But then again, I don't think I'll ever really be apart from it. From day 1 back in Dallas I had visions of being on that American Idol stage singing for 30 million people. And it just blows me away to think about how many people were all fighting for that same chance. There were alot of moments when I was singing on that stage and just thinking about every step, every memory, every moment that had lead me to this point. And its the most unbelievable sense of accomplishment I must say! I was blessed beyond belief to have this oppertunity and I know that it was in God's plan to leave when I did. I have total faith that there is something else bigger and better that will happen through this whole experience. My life has been a series of ups and downs but my dreams of being a superstar have always driven me to succeed. This is not the end for me but only the beginning. And lastly, to my son Nathan, I want to say I love you so much. I hope you always remember this experience. But mostly I hope and pray that all of this inspires you to dream and dream big. Because nothing that you ever want in this life is too big if you truly believe in yourself and work hard at it!!!!

I love you all so much,
Jason Yeager

And he posted a little bulletin too. :D

Date: Mar 3, 2008 7:30 PM

Subject: Good to be home!!!

Body: Hello everyone! I just got my myspace back this morning and was floored by the 1000's of messages...LITERALLY that I accrued over the last month since the top 24 was announced! WOW!!!! well, I posted a big thank you to all my fans in a blog on my page for all of you to read! I will try my very best to keep up with the fan mail as much as I can. : )

Lots of love and thanks to all,
Jason Yeager

Once he gets through his 1000s of emails I'll see what he says about uploading a couple songs from his CD for you guys.

People still here? I still want to see if the CD Jason put out is around anywhere for download or purchase, or if you have to order it. I emailed to be a part of the fan club earlier tonight. Does anyone know about the CD? I'd love to have more of his music.

Anyone know if he is back in TX now, or is he in MO? I know he's performed in Branson (and I'd love to go check out the restaurant he works at too), but I wasn't sure if he's back there or not. I wonder what he's going to be up to now since he's off American Idol. There aren't many posts over on the american idol boards on him either, which I guess makes sense since he's off the show. Still miss him and would have liked to see him sing again on the show, and maybe play piano or guitar...seemed like he played both well from what they showed of him.

Intro post
Does anyone have video of the Top 20 performance? I really liked his performance last night, the dancing, singing, etc although it seems he might be leaving tomorrow night. I don't know why people didn't like it...

And are there mp3 files or anything for that CD he has out? I'd like to hear some of that.

Also, I love that this community is here, I'm 25 and from outside Philadelphia. I was really into Taylor during Season 5 but only from about the Top 4 or so on, sometime around then. I think this is the first American Idol season I've been watching since the beginning. Actually I went to the season 5 American Idol tour twice, got to see Taylor's band perform which was cool. Also mostly listen to classic rock, I like 70's music, and 80's, pretty much everything except country.

I also really want to see Jason at that restaurant he works at now, hear him sing and see what he can do. And I hope we do if he's still around next week on the show. I'd love to see him on the tour this season and meet the guy, seems like such a cool person...And we should get more people in this group...
